Project Background
Much has been made about harnessing the power of technology and data to enable healthcare systems to deliver more personalized, effective, and efficient care to patients. However, the complicated relationship among Patients, Payers, and Providers makes navigating this technological frontier difficult.
Change Healthcare’s Medical Informatics team wanted a clearer picture of the landscape across those three parties before they moved forward with their product concept. They brought in the Applied Insights Research Team to help.
Methodology
I led research for our team consisting of empathy interviews across Payers and Providers. These insights represent the perspectives of 16+ participants across:
Payers – Directors, VP’s, Consultants, Senior Managers: Utilization, Medical Management, Data Analytics.
Providers – CMO, Directors, VP’s: Pop Health, Value-Based Care, Clinic Operations.
Findings
I’m limited in what I’m allowed to share on this proprietary research. However, an article from the primary project stateholder - Dr. Yousuf Zafar (Duke Cancer Institute) - detailing some of the findings can be found at the linked report!
